This course in single-variable calculus is equivalent to one semester of college calculus. The course is in preparation for students to successfully complete the AP CalculusAB exam administrated by the College Board. Topics include (I) Functions, Graphs, and Limits (II) Derivatives and (III) Integrals. Concepts are investigated from four different perspectives – analytical, graphical, numerical, and verbal, the “Rule of Four”. Students electing this course are expected to take the AP exam in May and, depending on the results, may be granted credit and/or appropriate placement by a participation college.
